서동진Seo Dong-jin is a professor of Intermedia Art at Kaywon University of Art and Design, whose critical writings are based on a wide interest in visual culture. He was a film programmer at both the Seoul Queer Film Festival and the Jeonju International Film Festival, a board member of the Korean Assoaciation of Cinematheques, and served on the editorial boards of journals or magazines including Cultizen, Review, and Contemporary Criticism. Seo currently holds positions as an editorial board member of Noon, a journal of contemporary art and visual culture published by the Gwangju Biennale Foundation, an academic advisor for Korea National Contemporary Dance Company, and a columnist for The Hankyoreh daily. He is the author of The Nap of the Dialectics (Courrier, 2015), The Will to Freedom, the Will to Self-Managing (Dolbegae, 2009), and Design Melancholia (Designflux, 2009), and is the translator of the Korean edition of Jeffery Weeks' book Sexuality (Hyunsil munhwa yeongu, 1994).
